Resin-bound stone, up close
Explore our six signature blends, study the aggregate detail down to the individual stone, and picture each finish across real settings — driveways, patios, pool surrounds and pathways here in Geelong, on the Bellarine and along the Surf Coast.
An honest note: these are indicative renders, not photographs of finished jobs. Terralume Surfaces is a brand-new specialist business, so as we complete projects we'll replace every render here with our own on-site photography — and credit the suburb. Real, hand-held stone samples are always provided at your free, no-obligation quote so you can choose colours in your own light.
Choose your blend
Every Terralume surface starts with premium, kiln-dried natural aggregate — rounded stone, typically around 2–5 mm, hand-mixed through clear two-part resin and trowelled flush by our own crew. The result is a continuous, joint-free surface with no loose stone underfoot, and one that stays permeable when it's laid over a suitable free-draining base.
We've curated six blends that suit homes across Geelong and the coast — from soft coastal creams through to deep architectural charcoals. Each one reads differently in morning and afternoon light, so the renders below are a starting point: at your quote we leave physical samples with you to live with for a few days.

Blend renders are indicative — actual stone samples provided at quote.
The same stone, in its setting
Colour and texture only tell half the story — what most people want to see is how a seamless stone surface reads against a real driveway, courtyard or pool. These visualisations place our blends in settings typical of Geelong, the Bellarine and the Surf Coast, so you can imagine the finish at your own place.
Every image on this page is an indicative render, not a photo of a completed Terralume job. We'll swap each one for our own on-site photography — and name the suburb — as we finish projects across the region.
See the stone in motion
A closer look at the six resin-bound blends we install — rounded 2–5 mm stone, bound flush in UV-stable resin for a seamless, permeable finish.
The texture, up close
A closer look at the naturally rounded, kiln-dried stone (typically ~2–5 mm) that's mixed through clear resin and trowelled flush — densely packed and bound, not loose or scatter-coated. This is the difference between a surface that lasts and one that sheds stone into your gutters.

A render shows you the colour. Here's what you're really buying — the things that decide whether a surface still looks and performs like this in ten years' time.
A genuinely seamless surface
Trowelled flush as one continuous sheet — no pavers to lift, no joints to weed, no loose stone to track indoors or rake back into place.
UV-stable colour that holds
Two-part aliphatic polyurethane resin is specified to resist yellowing in the Australian sun, so the blend you choose is the blend you keep.
Permeable, when it should be
Laid over a suitable free-draining base, the surface lets water through rather than sheeting it across your property — a Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) approach to drainage.
Built to the right depth
Around 18 mm minimum for driveways and vehicle loads, around 15 mm for pedestrian areas — depth confirmed per site so the surface is specified for how you'll actually use it.
Backed in writing
Every installation carries a 5-year written workmanship guarantee, on top of a fixed written quote with no surprises.
Indicative timeline & cure
- On site
- Most domestic jobs are laid in a single day, weather permitting
- Foot traffic
- Ready in roughly 6–8 hours
- Light vehicle
- Around 24–72 hours, depending on conditions
- Full cure
- Approximately 7 days to full strength
Cure times move with temperature and humidity, so your installer confirms timings for your job on the day. We'd rather give you a realistic window than an optimistic one.
About these images
Straight answers about what you're looking at — and what you can expect when it's your turn.
Are these photos of real Terralume jobs?
No — and we won't pretend otherwise. Every image here is an indicative render created to show colour, texture and how a finish reads in a real setting. Terralume Surfaces is a brand-new specialist business, so we're starting honestly with visualisations.
As we complete real projects across Geelong, the Bellarine and the Surf Coast, we'll replace these with our own on-site photography and name the suburb each one is from.
Will my finished surface look exactly like the render?
It'll be very close in character, but natural stone is exactly that — natural. Colour and tone vary slightly batch to batch, and every blend looks different in morning versus afternoon light. That's why we hand you real stone samples at your quote, so you can choose in the light at your own home rather than from a screen.
Can I get a sample of the actual stone?
Yes — physical samples are part of every free, no-obligation quote. We'll leave the blends you're considering with you so you can sit them against your render, brickwork and landscaping over a few days before you decide.
Is resin-bound stone really permeable?
The bound surface itself is porous, so it can let water through rather than pooling on top — but permeability depends on the base beneath it. Laid over a suitable free-draining sub-base (a Water Sensitive Urban Design build-up), the whole system drains. Over solid, non-draining concrete, water still needs somewhere to go, so we design the drainage to suit your site at the quote stage.
Do you have reviews I can read?
Not yet — and we won't invent any. As a new business we're building our reputation one job at a time, and genuine customer reviews are coming soon as we complete our first installations. In the meantime, we're happy to talk you through exactly what we do and back it with a written guarantee.
