Outdoor & decorative epoxy
Feature floors that get noticed, and outdoor coatings that last in the Australian sun. Flowing metallic art floors for indoor spaces, plus UV-stable flake and colour systems for alfresco, patios and pool surrounds across Geelong, the Bellarine & Surf Coast — finished honestly, with the right topcoat for where it lives.
Images on this page are indicative renders to show finish and style — not photographs of completed Terralume jobs. We're a new local business and we'll never present an AI render as a real job. Real product samples and references are brought to every quote.

1 of a kind, every pour
Floors people stop and look at
A decorative floor turns a slab into a feature. Metallic epoxy is worked while wet into flowing, marbled patterns that are genuinely unique to your room — no two pours are the same — while flake and solid systems give a cleaner, more uniform designer finish.
- Metallic art floors. Pearlescent pigments worked into organic, marbled movement — a true feature floor for living spaces, showrooms and entries.
- Designer flake & solid. Full-flake or blended finishes and solid colours for a crisp, contemporary, hard-wearing look.
- Seamless & sealed. One continuous, jointless surface that wipes clean and resists stains.
- Indoor by design. Metallic finishes rely on a glossy, non-UV-stable epoxy, so we keep them indoors — and tell you so up front.
Sealed alfresco coating — indicative render. Real samples and a UV-stable spec are provided at your quote.
Alfresco, patios & pool surrounds
Outdoor concrete can be coated beautifully — but only with the right system and the right expectations. The sun is the enemy of a standard epoxy, so outdoors we change the recipe.
UV-stable topcoat Sound slab only Anti-slip graded Verified against the TDS
- UV-stable systems only. Outdoors we finish with a UV-stable polyaspartic or polyurethane topcoat chosen to resist ambering — never a bare epoxy.
- Sound, dry slab. We assess the concrete for cracks, movement and moisture, and only coat a slab that's genuinely up to it.
- Grip where it's wet. Pool surrounds and alfresco areas get a graded anti-slip profile — safety over a mirror finish.
- Honest maintenance. Outdoor coatings live a harder life; we set out the realistic upkeep rather than implying it's maintenance-free.

An honest word on UV. We won't put a metallic epoxy outdoors and call it sun-proof — it isn't. Metallic and clear-epoxy finishes are for indoors; outdoors we switch to UV-stable flake and colour systems with a polyaspartic topcoat. It's the difference between a floor that ages gracefully and one that yellows in a season.
Common questions on feature & outdoor floors
Straight answers on metallic floors, coating existing concrete, UV, slip and upkeep.
Doesn't epoxy go yellow in the sun?
Standard epoxy can amber under UV — which is exactly why we don’t use a bare epoxy as the final coat outdoors. For alfresco, pool-side and any sun-exposed area we finish with a UV-stable polyaspartic or polyurethane topcoat that’s made to hold its colour. Indoors, away from direct sun, a clear epoxy topcoat is fine.
Can you coat my existing concrete patio or alfresco?
If it’s sound, yes. We assess the slab for cracks, movement and moisture first. A sound concrete patio or alfresco can be ground and finished with a sealed flake or coloured system and a UV-stable topcoat. If the slab is lifting or damp, we’ll tell you what it needs first rather than coating over a problem.
What is a metallic epoxy floor, and can it go outside?
Metallic epoxy uses pigments that are worked while wet to create flowing, marbled, one-of-a-kind patterns — a genuine feature floor. It’s an interior finish: the look depends on a glossy epoxy that isn’t UV-stable, so we recommend it for indoor spaces, not sun-exposed areas. For outdoors we use UV-stable flake and colour systems instead.
Is a decorative floor slippery, especially near a pool?
A glossy decorative floor can be slick when wet, so for pool surrounds, wet areas and outdoor spaces we build a graded anti-slip profile into the topcoat. Around pools that grip matters more than a mirror finish, and we’ll steer you that way honestly.
How do I look after a decorative or outdoor coating?
Day-to-day it’s easy — sweep and the occasional mop or hose. Outdoor coatings live a harder life than indoor ones (sun, weather, pool chemicals), so a UV-stable topcoat may want refreshing over the years; we’ll tell you the realistic maintenance picture for your finish at the quote rather than implying it’s zero-maintenance forever.
Can you match a colour or style I’ve seen?
Often, yes — bring us a photo. Flake blends and solid colours can be matched closely, and metallic floors can be worked toward a tone and movement you like, though each metallic pour is unique by nature. We’ll show you real samples and set honest expectations before we start.

Reviews coming soon
We're a new local business, and we'd rather show you real, verified decorative floor reviews than invent them. As we hand over our first projects, genuine customer feedback goes here — names, suburbs and all.
No paid placements, no stock photos and no made-up quotes. Until those first reviews land, the best measure of our work is the spec we put in writing and the plain-language guarantee we stand behind — both of which you can hold us to.
Want a floor that's a feature?
Tell us about the space — an indoor feature floor, or an alfresco, patio or pool surround. We'll assess the slab, show you real samples, recommend the right (and honest) system for where it lives, and put it in a fixed written quote backed by our 5-year written workmanship guarantee.
